Your data. Handled with care.
To guide you personally we sometimes need information about you: who you are, where we deliver, what your goal is. Here you can read exactly which data that is, why we use it, who we share it with and which choices you have.

Only what is needed
We ask for the data needed to handle your request, deliver your system and guide you. Nothing more.
For your service, not for advertising
We use your data to deliver, invoice and support you. We do not sell it and we do not build advertising profiles.
Your readings stay yours
SpO₂ values you enter in My Altitude Dream are visible to you alone. We show them nowhere else and do not pass them on.
You stay in control
You can request, correct or delete your data. One e-mail to info@altitudedream.com is enough.
Who we are
In short
Altitude Dream is a brand of Levamondo vof in Grimbergen (Belgium). Levamondo vof is responsible for the data you share with us through altitudedream.com, our webshop, My Altitude Dream and our e-mails.
Altitude Dream rents and sells altitude systems and guides athletes and mountaineers in their preparation. The brand is owned by Levamondo vof, Bergstraat 24, 1850 Grimbergen, Belgium, VAT number BE0896571196. In this statement we call Levamondo vof simply Altitude Dream or "we".
This statement covers our website altitudedream.com (including the webshop), the customer area My Altitude Dream, our e-mails and the data we process when you rent or buy from us. It is written for customers and visitors; with staff and partners we make separate arrangements.
Do you have a question about this statement or about your data? E-mail info@altitudedream.com or call +32 2 588 20 72. No form needed.
Which data we use
In short
Mostly your name, your contact details and the address where we deliver, plus what we need to know to advise you well: your goal, your sport or expedition and your schedule. What we process exactly depends on what you do with us.
- Visiting the website
- Technical data needed to show the site, such as your IP address during the visit and your language choice, and anonymous visit statistics. See cookies and statistics.
- Asking a question or for advice
- Your first name, e-mail address, optionally your phone number and your message. In the contact form we sometimes ask for context, such as your destination, sport or the system you own. In the performance calculator you send us your scenario (sport, distance or power, training weeks and, if you fill it in, whether your iron status is known) so that we can e-mail it to you.
- Renting an altitude tent
- First and last name, e-mail address, phone number, the delivery address and country, your goal (expedition or race and its date), the chosen system, the rental period and how you know us. During the rental we add service data: delivery and collection moments, the assigned system and notes from our team about installation and service.
- Buying in the webshop
- Your order, billing and delivery address, e-mail address and phone number. Payment runs through the payment provider of the webshop; we see no card or account details, only whether the payment succeeded.
- My Altitude Dream
- Your reservation code and e-mail address to sign in, your personal programme (goal, date, sleeping altitude per phase) and, if you enter them, your morning readings: oxygen saturation (SpO₂), the altitude setting and the hours at altitude. More in My Altitude Dream and your readings.
- Writing a review
- Your rating, your text, optionally a photo, your first name and town and the choices you make about publication. Your recommendation score (0 to 10) is for us only and is never published.
- Using the Altitude Advisor
- The choices and the text you enter to get a recommendation. Without a reservation or account we do not link them to you as a person.
We ask nothing about your health, with two exceptions you choose yourself: your morning readings in My Altitude Dream and the optional iron-status question in the performance calculator. If you still share something medical with us, we use it only to advise you safely. An altitude system is not a medical device; consult your doctor if you have a medical condition (see our disclaimer).
Why we use your data
In short
We use your data to do what you ask of us: advise, deliver, guide, invoice and be reachable. We also meet legal obligations and improve our service. Not for advertising, not for profiling.
Privacy law (the GDPR) requires a legal basis for every use. These are ours:
- Carrying out your request, rental or purchase
- Handling your reservation, advising on your programme, delivering, installing, supporting, collecting and invoicing. Basis: the contract with you, or the steps towards it.
- Answering your questions
- Following up contact and advice requests and sending you the result of the performance calculator or the eBook. Basis: carrying out what you ask of us and our legitimate interest in being reachable.
- Guiding you personally in My Altitude Dream
- Showing your programme and keeping your morning readings so you can build up safely. Basis: the rental agreement for your programme and, for the readings, your own choice to enter them.
- Asking for and publishing your experience
- After your rental we ask how it went. Publishing your review, your name or your photo happens only with your explicit consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- Legal obligations
- Keeping invoices and payment records for accounting and VAT.
- Improving and securing our service
- Anonymous visit statistics, preventing abuse, finding errors. Basis: our legitimate interest; we choose tools with as little personal data as possible.
- Applying a partner benefit
- If you come to us through a partner club or organisation, we remember that referral to give you the agreed benefit and to tell the partner your request exists. Basis: carrying out your request and our legitimate interest in the partnership.
What we do not do: we do not sell your data, we use no advertising pixels, we build no marketing profiles and we take no automated decisions with consequences for you. The recommendations of the Altitude Advisor and the performance calculator are calculation aids; our team confirms every reservation personally.
My Altitude Dream and your readings
In short
In My Altitude Dream you see your programme and can log your SpO₂ every morning. Those readings exist to let you build up safely. You alone see them; we show them nowhere else, do not pass them on and do not use them for anything else.
Signing in without a password
You sign in with your reservation code and the e-mail address of your reservation. We e-mail you a one-time link that is valid for 15 minutes. After that you stay signed in on that device for 30 days through a secure cookie, which you can clear yourself in your browser at any time.
What you enter
- Your morning reading: oxygen saturation (SpO₂, a percentage), the altitude you slept at and the hours at altitude.
- Your programme itself (goal, date and the sleeping altitude per phase) is composed by us from your reservation; you enter nothing for it.
What we use it for, and what not
We show your readings to you, with a guideline to raise, hold or lower the altitude. That guideline is a fixed calculation rule based on your saturation, not a medical judgement. We do not e-mail your readings, we do not share them with partners and we do not use them for marketing or statistics.
Who can access them
Your readings are stored in our secured database in Frankfurt and are visible only in your own My Altitude Dream area. Our team has no screen for them; only an administrator with database access can reach them, for example during technical maintenance or at your request.
Deleting
Would you like your readings or your programme deleted? E-mail us at info@altitudedream.com; we delete them and confirm it to you. A button to do this yourself is on our roadmap.
Readings of your body can legally count as health data. That is why entering them is always your choice, we show them only to you and we delete them at your request. Your guidance works just as well if you keep your values to yourself.
Renting, buying and paying
In short
For a rental request or purchase we use your data to confirm, deliver, install, support, collect and invoice. We create invoices in our invoicing software; payments in the webshop run through the payment provider of the webshop.
Rental request and programme
After your request you receive a confirmation e-mail with your programme, the period, the system and the price breakdown, and our team is notified. We call or e-mail you to arrange delivery. You follow the status of your request through the link in that e-mail.
If you come through a partner (for example a club, coach or travel organisation), we let that partner know there is a request, with your name and the rental period, so the agreed benefit is correct. A partner sees nothing more: no address, phone number or e-mail address.
Delivery, installation and service
Our team uses your name, address and phone number to deliver, install and collect. We plan this in a calendar our staff see on their own devices. During service we sometimes photograph the system, for example at an inspection; those photos are for our team only.
Invoices and accounting
Invoices for rentals and webshop orders are created in WeFact, our Dutch invoicing software. They contain your name, address, e-mail address and the invoice lines. We keep invoices as long as accounting and VAT law requires.
Webshop and payment
Our webshop runs on WooCommerce. Your order details come from the webshop to our platform to create the invoice. The payment itself takes place with the payment provider of the webshop; card and account details never reach us. Rentals are paid after delivery, by invoice.
Contact and e-mails
In short
You receive the e-mails that belong to your request, rental or purchase: confirmations, practical information, a sign-in link and, afterwards, one question about your experience. You only receive a newsletter if you sign up for it.
If you use the contact form, request the eBook or have a scenario from the performance calculator sent, it reaches our team by e-mail and you receive, where applicable, what you asked for by e-mail. We answer your question personally.
Service e-mails for a rental: a confirmation of your request and of the planning, practical instructions around delivery and, a few weeks after the rental, one invitation to share your experience, with at most one reminder. These e-mails are part of the service. Do you not want the review invitation? Let us know and we switch it off for you.
We send our e-mails through Resend, with servers in the EU, and service e-mails to existing customers through the Dutch mailing service Mammoet Mail. Both see your e-mail address and the content of the e-mail and may use them only to deliver the e-mail.
You only receive a newsletter if you have signed up for it. You can then unsubscribe in every e-mail or with a note to info@altitudedream.com.
Who we share data with
In short
We share your data only with parties that help us deliver our service: hosting and database in the EU, our e-mail services, our invoicing software and, if you come through a partner, that partner. We never sell data.
These suppliers (processors) work on our instructions and may use your data only for the agreed task:
- Vercel
- Hosting of altitudedream.com and storage of review photos. Our application and storage run in Frankfurt (EU). Vercel is a US company.
- Neon
- Our database: reservations, customer data, programmes and reviews. Frankfurt (EU).
- Resend
- Sending our e-mails. Servers in Ireland (EU).
- Mammoet Mail
- Service e-mails to existing customers. Netherlands.
- WeFact
- Invoicing and receivables. Netherlands.
- WordPress and WooCommerce
- Our webshop runs on our own WordPress installation; the payment provider of the webshop processes your payment.
- Google (YouTube)
- Only for the preview image and playback of videos, see cookies and statistics.
Partners: if you come through a partner organisation, it sees your name and rental period to confirm the benefit. Partners receive no address, phone number or e-mail address from us.
Authorities: only when the law obliges us, for example during a tax audit.
Outside the European Union
We choose suppliers that process our data in the EU. A few suppliers, such as Vercel and Google, are US companies. Where they can view or process data outside the EU, this happens on the basis of our data processing agreement with them and the European standard contractual clauses or an equivalent safeguard.
AI tools
The Altitude Advisor understands a free-text question with fixed rules. We have the option to use a language model from Anthropic for this; it is off by default. If we switch it on, we say so here, and only the text of your question or review goes to that service, without your name or contact details.
How long we keep data
In short
We keep data as long as we need it for your rental, purchase or guidance, and afterwards as long as the law requires, mainly for accounting. For some data the period is fixed; the remaining periods we publish here as soon as we have set them definitively.
- Sign-in links and cookies
- A sign-in link works for 15 minutes and once; expired links are removed from our database 30 days later. Your My Altitude Dream session expires after 30 days, the partner cookie after 90 days and the greeting cookie after 15 minutes.
- Reviews and photos
- You can add a photo up to 24 hours after your review. Published reviews and photos stay as long as your consent stands; if you withdraw it, we take them off the website and delete them at your request.
- Reservations and customer data
- For the duration of the rental and afterwards as long as needed for service, warranty and the statutory retention of our accounts. The period for deleting or anonymising old reservations is still to be set definitively. If you ask for deletion, we do it sooner, except for what we must keep by law.
- Invoices
- As long as accounting and VAT law requires.
- Programmes and readings in My Altitude Dream
- A programme you created through the Altitude Advisor without a reservation is deleted after 90 days. Programmes and readings that belong to your reservation are kept until you ask for deletion; an automatic clean-up period after the end of your programme is still to be set.
- Contact questions and e-mails
- In our mailbox as long as needed to help you and answer follow-up questions.
- Visit statistics
- Only as totals, without personal data. The daily hashed counts of partner visits are deleted after 13 months.
Your privacy rights
In short
You have the right to know what we hold about you and to change it. One e-mail to info@altitudedream.com is enough; we answer within a month.
- See your data
- Ask us which personal data we hold about you and receive a copy (right of access).
- Correct mistakes
- Has your address or e-mail address changed? We update it (right to rectification).
- Have it deleted
- Ask us to delete your data. We do, except for data we must keep by law, such as invoices (right to erasure).
- Restrict use or object
- You can ask us to pause the use of your data, or object to processing based on our legitimate interest, such as the review invitation (right to restriction and right to object).
- Take your data with you
- Data you gave us yourself for your rental or in My Altitude Dream, you receive on request in a readable file (right to data portability).
- Withdraw consent
- If you gave consent, for example to publish your review with your name or photo, you can withdraw it at any time. What happened before remains lawful.
- Lodge a complaint
- If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, tell us first; we gladly sort it out. You can also contact the Belgian Data Protection Authority or, if you live in the Netherlands, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
How it works: e-mail your request to info@altitudedream.com, preferably from the e-mail address we know you by. That way we are sure we are dealing with you; if in doubt, we ask for an extra confirmation. You receive an answer within a month. A request is free of charge.
Security
In short
We protect your data with encrypted connections, strict access for our team and suppliers with data centres in the EU. No system is infallible; if something does go wrong, we inform you when it has consequences for you.
- All connections with altitudedream.com and My Altitude Dream are encrypted (https).
- Sign-in links and access keys are stored hashed only; staff passwords too.
- Our staff see only what their task requires: a technician the deliveries of the day, an administrator the reservations.
- Our database and file storage are located in data centres in Frankfurt.
- A data breach with a risk for you is reported to the supervisory authority and, where necessary, to you.
Changes
In short
We update this statement when our service changes. The date at the top shows which version you are reading. For important changes we also inform customers with an ongoing rental or an account by e-mail.
This version dates from 7 October 2026 and is the first privacy statement of the new Altitude Dream platform; it replaces the privacy policy of 1 January 2019. We update it for new features in My Altitude Dream, new suppliers and new legal requirements. Earlier versions are available from us on request.
