Compiled with care. Used responsibly.
We enjoy sharing what we know about altitude, acclimatisation and performance. We find it just as important to be clear about what this information does, and does not, mean.
This disclaimer applies to altitudedream.com, our knowledge base and the tools on the platform, such as the Altitude Advisor, the calculators and My Altitude.

Information compiled with care
What we publish about altitude, acclimatisation and training comes from our experience with altitude systems since 2005 and from research we cite by name. We take great care over the reliability and currency of that information.
Knowledge changes, though. Research findings are revised, protocols evolve and a page can go out of date. Despite our care, information on the platform may therefore be inaccurate or incomplete. Spotted something that is not right? Let us know and we will correct it.
No substitute for medical advice
On this platform you read about altitude, hypoxia, acclimatisation, oxygen saturation (SpO₂), training methods, expeditions and the protocols we use with them. That information is general and educational. It does not replace individual medical advice and it does not make a diagnosis.
An altitude tent or altitude system is not a medical device. If you have a medical condition, for example of the heart or lungs, if you are pregnant, or if you are unsure whether time at altitude or training in hypoxia is suitable for you, consult your doctor or another qualified medical professional first.
If you develop symptoms at altitude, the rule is always the same: descend and seek medical help. That comes before any protocol or schedule you read here.
We support our customers professionally in using their system. Medical questions belong with your doctor, and that is where we refer them, even when you are already a customer.
Every response to altitude is personal
An altitude, an acclimatisation schedule or a protocol on a knowledge page is a general starting point. How you respond to altitude depends on your experience, your goal, your health, your training background and on how your body reacts at that moment. What works for one athlete or mountaineer is therefore not automatically suitable for another.
That is why we distinguish between the general information on this platform and the personal guidance you receive from us as a customer. With a rental or purchase we tailor altitude, progression and monitoring to your situation and follow how you respond. That guidance is personal. The information on these pages is not.
Anyone who rents or buys a system confirms in our terms and conditions that they are medically fit to stay in a hypoxic environment, and remains responsible for that themselves.
Results vary
We like to show what you can realistically expect from altitude training and pre-acclimatisation. The response to altitude, however, differs from person to person. How quickly you acclimatise, how much your performance improves and how you experience a protocol depend on factors we cannot all know from the outside.
Our calculators and the Altitude Advisor are scenario models based on your input, our protocols and published research. They give a well-founded estimate, not an outcome, so an improvement is not guaranteed. Customer experiences in our reviews and stories are personal experiences, not a prediction of your result.
External sources and links
Where it strengthens the content, we refer to scientific research, partners and other websites. We choose those sources carefully, but we do not manage them. The party concerned is responsible for the content, currency and privacy policy of external websites.
Research we cite is summarised in the context of altitude training. If you want the full findings and the limitations of a study, read the original publication.

You may use our knowledge articles, our logo and our brand assets. The press kit with logos, colours and boilerplate is on the press and brand page.
For other Altitude Dream material, such as photos, videos, tools and the copy on product and service pages, we ask for written permission before you copy, distribute or reuse it. An e-mail to our team is enough to ask.
Liability and terms
When you use information from this platform, the judgement is yours, and where your health is concerned it is one to make together with your doctor. Altitude Dream and the companies, partners and suppliers we work with are not liable for damage resulting from inaccuracies on the platform, from technical faults or from the distribution of information over the internet.
Rental and purchase of our systems are governed by our terms and conditions. How we handle your personal data is set out in our privacy statement. This disclaimer complements those documents and does not replace them.
