We did it, we stood on the roof of Africa. Together with Thaumar from Amsterdam, we rented a high altitude tent from you as preparation. Thaumar suffered in it for four weeks and I for one week less. At about 3500 metres, we got a headache but it subsided after a day. After that, we walked relatively trouble-free up to 5000 metres. We think the altitude tent definitely contributed to our well-being at these altitudes. The hike to the summit started at 23:00 in the evening and was very tough for both of us. A lot of effort was required and we had almost no opportunities to compensate for the thin air.
I can only speak for myself but even though I exercise a lot, I think I probably wouldn't have made it without the altitude tent. But... this once in a lifetime experience has fortunately gone well!
