My mountain trek in the Queyras is over. Every day we had at least 2 cols of +/- 2700-2900 m. I left with a small heart. After all, I am extremely prone to altitude sickness. At 2400 I already start to get the symptoms and, given many breaks in between, I panted my way up and over the cols. Did the altitude tent help? YES. Blessed not to have a headache and go up in one trek, maintaining a nice pace. I do need to learn from drinking more along the way.
